Take a SHOT at COVID |
A new COVID-19 Vaccine Toolkit has recently launched as we begin to vaccinate children under the age of 5. This toolkit of resources aims to assist providers in recommending and securing COVID-19 vaccination in their pediatric patients. Most handouts are available in English and Spanish. Useful videos can be added to your practice website or shared on social media. |

We saw enthusiastic crowds at our first in-person alumni gatherings since 2019. We hosted Alumni and Friends Receptions at the PAS Meeting in April and the AAPD Annual Session in May. In June, we partnered with the Cincinnati Pediatric Society for their annual Toast to the Graduates event. |

Jennifer O’Toole, MD, program director, Internal Medicine & Pediatrics Residency Program, is co-author of the book “Women in Pediatrics: The Past, Present and Future.” The book is the first to provide an overarching view of women in pediatrics, the challenges they have faced, the successes achieved and what the future holds. |

First Treatment for Eosinophilic Esophagitis Wins FDA Approval |
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Dupixent (dupilumab) as the first treatment for eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), a chronic inflammatory disease that damages the esophagus. Marc Rothenberg, MD, PhD, director, Cincinnati Center for Eosinophilic Diseases, been researching EoE for the past two decades. |
