Education: Anxiety, Depression, & STIs, Oh My! An Overview of Adolescent Health | Sabin Auditorium
|
|
Sponsored by the Cincinnati Pediatric Society
|
Adolescence is a pivotal stage of pediatric development marked by rapid cognitive, physical, and psychosocial growth. As a result, adolescents face unique health challenges in their transition from child to adult. Over the last several years, the need to focus on adolescent health has become increasingly important, with rising rates of sexually transmitted infections, mental health diagnoses, and suicide among teenagers. Pediatricians should feel confident in their ability to provide adolescents with compassionate, equitable, and effective care in a safe and supportive environment. The Cincinnati Pediatric Society presents "Anxiety, Depression, & STIs, Oh My!: An Overview of Adolescent Health" to help pediatricians prevent, screen for, and manage a variety of conditions facing our adolescent patients. Explore the following topics related to adolescent health:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Eating Disorders
- Sexually Transmitted Infections
- Contraception
- Substance Use
